This year marks the Ontario Baseball Association’s participation in Pink Shirt Day, an international movement promoting kindness, inclusion, and taking a stand against bullying.
Pink Shirt Day began in Nova Scotia in 2007, when two students organized a show of support for a classmate who was bullied for wearing pink. What started as a small act of solidarity has since grown into a global effort to build more respectful, inclusive communities.
Throughout February, OBA will share resources and messages that reinforce our commitment to safe sport, respect, and creating a culture where every participant feels valued — on and off the field. This initiative directly supports and aligns with the Ontario Baseball Association’s Safe Sport commitment, ensuring our programs, diamonds, and club environments remain welcoming, inclusive, and free from harm.
We invite our members, teams, coaches, and partners to join us in wearing pink on Wednesday, February 25, 2026, as we unite to Strikeout Bullying.
Stay tuned each week to the OBA website for resources, highlights, and ways to participate as we work together to build a safer, more inclusive baseball community.
